In today's dynamic world, where everything moves, changes, and connects in a matter of seconds, trust has become any company's most valuable asset. Without trust, there are no sustainable relationships, lasting alliances, or genuine growth.
In this context, BASC (Business Alliance for Secure Commerce) has built a solid path toward a business culture based on legality, transparency, and supply chain security.
Since its creation, BASC has transcended the concept of "certification" to become a symbol of ethical commitment and corporate responsibility. Its mission is not limited to meeting standards: it consists of transforming the way companies think, act, and relate to their environment, inspiring a new way of doing business: reliable, secure, and sustainable.

Beyond Certification: A Culture That Inspires Trust
Talking about BASC is not about talking about a seal or an audit. It's about talking about a business philosophy that drives organizations to look beyond compliance, to understand that security is a value that must be integrated into every process, decision, and business relationship.
Throughout these years, the BASC model has enabled thousands of companies to adopt management standards that position them as strategic allies in the prevention of transnational crimes, risk control, and operational transparency.
In Ecuador, BASC Pichincha was born in 2000, quickly establishing itself as a benchmark in the region. Since then, its purpose has been clear: to make the world a reliable and secure place by strengthening supply chain security from the heart of companies.
The Power of Trust
Trust is the foundation upon which all sustainable business is built. And, paradoxically, it's a value that cannot be bought or imposed: it is built, day by day.
BASC promotes precisely that: trust based on facts, processes, and verifiable results. When a company obtains BASC certification, it not only demonstrates that it meets international standards; it demonstrates that it believes in the value of doing things right, that it respects its partners, employees, and clients, and that it is committed to fair and transparent trade.
BASC certification translates into credibility before customs authorities, investors, international partners, and end consumers. When threats such as smuggling, money laundering, or corruption affect companies' reputation and competitiveness, trust becomes the most stable currency in the global market.

The management system in control and security (SGCS BASC): A comprehensive prevention model
The heart of BASC is the Management System in Control and Security (SGCS BASC), a practical and dynamic tool that allows companies to identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks within their logistics and administrative operations.
This system not only meets international security requirements but also adapts to each company's context, promoting continuous improvement and organizational learning.
Implementing SGCS BASC implies much more than preventing illegal activities; it means establishing a culture of discipline, integrity, and responsibility, where each employee understands that their work contributes to the common purpose: protecting the processes, people, and values that sustain the organization.
BASC-certified companies thus become models of compliance and ethics, capable of anticipating risks and responding with resilience to environmental changes.
Security is also human
One of BASC's greatest contributions has been to remember that behind every logistics process, every container, and every certificate, there are people. People who think, decide, and act; people who can be agents of change or risk factors, depending on the culture promoted within the organization.
For this reason, BASC promotes training, awareness, and education programs that go beyond the technical, to address the human component of security: ethics, responsibility, empathy, and awareness of the impact of each action.
Security from BASC's perspective is not imposed; it is cultivated. And this constant process in human beings is what has allowed the organization to transcend as a business movement that promotes a reliable and secure world.

25 Years of History, Purpose, and Commitment
This year, BASC Pichincha celebrates 25 years of unwavering commitment to security, integrity, and business trust. 25 years of growth, alliances, challenges overcome, and goals achieved.
During this time, hundreds of companies have been part of this journey, embracing a model that has allowed them to improve their processes, strengthen their teams, and break into international markets. In Ecuador, a total of 57 flower farms hold BASC certification, of which 54 are certified with Pichincha, reflecting the leadership and commitment of this sector in the region.
Celebrating these 25 years is recognizing those companies that, together with BASC, have demonstrated that security is not a cost, but an investment; that prevention is not a limitation, but a form of growth; and that business ethics is not an option, but an obligation.
Building a Reliable Future
BASC's future is projected this way: innovating, cooperating, and strengthening the culture of security from love and the conviction that every action counts.
Because making the world a reliable and secure place is not a goal, it is a purpose that is renewed every day.
