En el límite entre Palestina e Israel, Bansky dejó hace dos décadas un mural de un hombre con el rostro cubierto en posición de lucha, a punto de lanzar un artefacto que, en lugar de ser un objeto bélico, es un ramo de rosas. The “Flower Thrower”, “Flower Bomber”, “Rage” o “Love is in the air” está pintada originalmente en Belén, estado de Palestina, uno de los lugares más significativos donde podría estar. Allí donde las diferencias culturales y religiosas han desembocado en un conflicto bélico tenaz y cruel, se encuentra desde hace ya 20 años, esta figura dispuesta a lanzar un ramo de flores, quizás con la esperanza de cortar con la violencia, luchando con amor y paz.
Esto es lo que un ramo de rosas representa: esperanza y paz. No importa la cultura, el idioma, la posición geográfica, las rosas siempre traen este significado de amor, de cariño, de estar en paz. Representan todo lo que es la belleza, la perfección.
Sin duda en estos tiempos donde los conflictos bélicos han tomado mucha fuerza, esta imagen de Bansky vuelve a ser tan actual, tan necesaria y oportuna.
DeRuiter nos trae la presentación de su nueva variedad llamada “Born Free”, un nombre que expresa ese concepto tan anhelado por muchos. “Nacer libre”, esa libertad que la guerra apaga. El nombre de la variedad es un homenaje a la película “Born Free” que cuenta la historia de Joy y George Adamson, una pareja de guardabosques que cría a Elsa, un cachorro león huérfano, hasta que cumple su madurez y la ayudan a insertarse de nuevo en la vida salvaje en Kenia.
El nombre de la variedad que llama a este sentido tan transcendental de la libertad, de la conservación y respeto por la naturaleza compaginada con la imagen del mural de Bansky que representa la esperanza y la paz es sin duda la representación de un concepto innovador y adecuado al momento actual.
La variedad es productiva: (1.6 – 1.8 fl/pl/mes) , color rojo brillante, sin negrecimiento, con un tamaño promedio de cabeza de 6 cm, longitud promedio de tallo de 60-70 cm y muy buena percepción en el mercado. La rosa roja, brillante, grande y duradera refleja el concepto detrás de sí. En Ecuador, el área de producción actual de “Born Free” cubre aproximadamente 10 hectáreas, expandiéndose rápidamente.
El mensaje que nos transmite la presentación de esta variedad, es justamente el significado tan hermoso y trascendental de una rosa. Todo ambiente adornado con rosas nos trae paz, alegría, admiración por la belleza. La alegría del cariño al recibir un ramo de rosas en cualquier ocasión especial. El abrazo al corazón que una rosa representa al ser recibida por alguien que busca consuelo.
Sin tomar un lado político, Born Free nos da un mensaje claro de paz. DeRuiter hoy toma postura frente al lo que pasa en el mundo, en zonas donde nuestra industria es tan importante y tan reconocida. "Born Free" by DeRuiter Innovations
